EMERGENCIES - THINGS TO CALL THE OFFICE ABOUT:

  • Fever 101 degrees or higher.
  • Redness around the wound.
  • Drainage from the wound - not all drainage is bad, but let us decide.
  • Significant increase in tenderness on the wound.

Personal Hygiene

  • Take a shower daily, just do no not let the water hit the tegaderm directly. Do not submerge in a tub, pool, or spa for 3 weeks or until after we see you back after surgery.  
  • Do not put any creams, rubs, oils, or medicine on the wound.
